Karatu simba lodge is a mid- range accommodation situated deep in the farming areas of Karatu district adjacent to Ngorongoro Conservation area (Home of Buffaloes, Elephants and other wildlife ) in Tanzania Region. The lodge is in the rural areas outside karatu town and 30 minutes’ drive from the gate of Lake Manyara national park about 4km off the main road to the entry of Ngorongoro conservation areas. The lodge is between Lake Manyara National park and Ngorongoro .
One can be at the lodge by road transport from Arusha since it’s the gateway destination to different parts of Tanzania in about 3-4 hours’ drive on tarmac road from Arusha through mayukuni and karatu and 45 minutes to fly to the close lake manyara airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the lodge. The lodge is convenient and business friendly to travellers, tourists and holiday makers who want to discover and explore the stunning views in the three national park that include; ngorongoro , lake manyara and tarangire national park.
Karatu Simba lodge consist of 23 spacious and comfortable cottages with the magnificent views of the forest and distant hills designed in African style with local wood, beautiful stones and high level of comfort. Cottages are well elevated , decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities of flushing toilets, Bathroom with hot and cold showers heated on solar, mosquito nets, comfortable tropical wooden beds with clean and washed beddings, free bottled water, free toiletries, chairs and tables, slippers mention but few. Cottages have private balconies, verandas and sitting areas, you relax while enjoying the stunning view over the distant hill ngorongoro forest and surrounding area. There is cracking campfires pit where guests relax and share experiences about the safari, it also provides warmth to visitors in the nights. Rooms are in different categories and sizes with single beds for individuals, double beds for couples or people, twin and triple/family beds designated for family with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above sometimes the rate goes slightly high during high/peak season than in Low season.

Ngorongoro crater is found in the Northern part of Tanzania close to Ngorongoro conservation area in the great rift valley covering the total area of 8,292km and its 3 million years old . The crater is the best place in East Africa with beautiful breathtaking Views. There are different attractions in the park which include; wild beast migration from Serengeti , Ngorongoro crater , Salei Plains and Ol karien Gorge, Variety flora and Fauna, stunning scenery and many more attractions.
